This Week I Learned

See the ghost.

We all need reminders of what we’ve learned. During a recent round with my coach, after a few holes, he casually asked, “Have you seen the ghost just once?” Without hesitation, I lied, “Of course! Every time!” But he saw right through me.

"See the ghost" is my putting mantra, reminding me to keep my head down long enough to catch the ball's shadow as it leaves the putter. It’s a simple yet powerful mantra I’d completely forgotten to use.

So, ask yourself: What basics have you forgotten that could make a big difference in your game?

Hole-In-One Challenge

This week, we're switching things up—no tips or drills, just pure golf enjoyment.

Sometimes, we dive too deep into the rabbit hole of improving our game (guilty as charged) and forget that golf is supposed to be fun. I bet your best golf memories aren’t from the driving range or putting green but from rounds with friends or people who became friends during 18 holes.

This video features Tom Holland (an unknown actor who plays Spider-Man) and his two brothers chasing a hole-in-one with only 500 balls… again. It’s filled with pure joy, frustration, hope, and many “if only” moments. It’s an absolute gem to watch—just like real life on the course.

The big question: Can they do it? Watch and find out.

Club Throwing Competition

If you ever wanted to find out who of GoodGood could throw their club the farthest, here’s your answer:

Quick Bites for the Road

🤕 The Truth Behind the Fall of NIKE Golf - This has been one of the biggest mysteries for me. NIKE used to dominate the golf scene, but now they’re gone. So… what happened? This video dives into the rise and fall of NIKE Golf.

🤏 Testing the Worlds Smallest Driver - Exactly what it sounds like. Mr. ShortGame takes the tiniest driver to the range. Honestly, I was shocked by how small it is, and I’m 100% sure I couldn’t hit a clean shot with this thing, no matter how many tries!

📊 Wedge types explained - Ever get confused about which wedge to use? Same. This short video breaks down the differences between pitching, gap, sand, and lob wedges. It was a solid refresher for me and might help you choose the right club next time you’re stuck between wedges.

Quiz

What rule could also be called “the cactus rule”?

Quiz answer

On some desert courses, like those in Arizona, a "local rule" allows players to move their ball if it lands on a cactus without penalty. You don’t have to risk a painful encounter to retrieve your ball! I would like to see them try it though…

Sincerely, your Magic Rabbit.

Leader through the rabbit hole. Won’t do a trust shot. Ever.
